I have over fifteen years of experience working with children and adolescents with learning and behavioral problems. My unique combination of experience as a special education teacher and psychologist allow me not only to conduct evaluations, but also to recommend and provide interventions that are effective and feasible. Additionally, I am well-versed in special education procedures, Response to Intervention (RtI), and 504 accommodation plans, making me uniquely qualified to provide consultation for educational programming. I conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose and treat many conditions including learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and intellectual disabilities among others.

I have provided services in an autism clinic, residential centers, public schools, and in private practice. I received degrees in elementary and special education from West Virginia University. I was awarded my Ph.D. in School Psychology from University of South Florida. I completed my APA-approved doctoral internship at the Hope Institute for Children and Families and The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP). My postdoctoral training was completed in a private practice where I focused on assessment of developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, and social emotional disorders.

The evaluation process begins with an initial consultation appointment where you will share information about your specific concerns regarding your child. We use this information to develop an individualized battery of tests. Your child will participate in one or more testing appointments and we will also collect information through rating scales or other sources. At the feedback session, you will receive a copy of your child’s evaluation report including test results, diagnostic impressions, and specifically tailored recommendations.

If we are not in network with your insurance company, our services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan as an Out-of-Network provider. We will provide you with a superbill which is a statement that you may use to file claims with your insurance.
It is recommended that you contact your insurance company to inquire about your coverage including copays, co-insurance, deductibles, pre-authorizations or limits which may apply to mental health or behavioral health services.
The office is located at 2801 Buford Highway NE in the Druid Chase office building. It is on Buford Highway between N. Druid Hills Rd and Lenox Rd/Cheshire Bridge. There is plenty of free parking. The office is on the 5th floor. When you exit the elevator, turn right and to Suite 501 / 503 at the end of the hall.
